Argentine Page

Sol-Orr Farm has two Argentine Type herd sires which  we co-own with Downey Ridge Farm of Luray, VA. We also have several Argentine Type females that we are working with in our breeding program.  Argentine llamas are not only llamas from Argentina, or have Argentine background,  but are also are a type of llama which has tremendous wool coverage, heavy bone and are very substantial in their appearance. Argentine llamas usually have a very calm and laid back nature about them. We have chosen Argentine types with silky, drapey fiber, as opposed to some that have very dense fiber, to use in our breeding program.  We are constantly striving to  improve our herd's fiber, structure and marketability.  Below are pictures of  Argentine and Argentine Type llamas at Sol-Orr Farm.
